Vietnam Visa Information for International Students

Student Visa Requirements

International students must obtain a student visa (DH code) sponsored by DNC and adhere to Vietnam’s immigration rules and regulations. If you currently hold a different type of visa, you may need to leave Vietnam to apply for a student visa (Entry visa).

Note: Students must not be in Vietnam when applying for an Entry Visa. The decision regarding your visa application is entirely at the discretion of the Vietnamese Immigration Department. DNC is not responsible for and cannot guarantee the outcome of any visa application

Entry Visa Procedures

International students, who are in their home country or in a country with a Vietnamese Embassy/Consulate General, and have been accepted to study at DNC, can apply for an Entry Visa. The application process requires the following steps:

1. Entry Visa Procedures

  • Provide a copy of your passport, valid for at least 6 months.
  • Pay the tuition fees for the upcoming semester and provide proof of payment.

2. Approval Process:

  • DNC will arrange other necessary supporting documents.
  • DNC will send you an approval correspondence from the Vietnamese Immigration Department.

3. Submission:

  • Submit the Pre-visa Letter, your visa application form, original passport, and visa payment to the Vietnamese Embassy/Consulate General Office in your preferred country to obtain your visa.

Additional Steps and Considerations

  • Contact the Embassy/Consulate: Reach out to the Vietnamese Embassy/Consulate General Office in your preferred country to check if there are additional required documents, visa fees, or other requirements/forms.

For any further assistance or queries regarding the visa application process, please contact DNC’s international student support office.

Visa Exemptions
