Congratulations to the Nam Can Tho University Medical Team and VMGs for Winning the Golden Prize at the ACOI 2024 Conference in the United States

Recently, the Medical Delegation from Nam Can Tho University (DNC), VMGs, and medical students from Midwest University, ATSU, led by Associate Professor Dr. Phillip Tran, achieved a remarkable victory at the American ACOI National Internal Medicine Conference held this year in Scottsdale, Arizona. The delegation won the prestigious Golden Prize – 2024, recognizing their outstanding contributions among participants from all 50 U.S. states.

This year’s conference featured a total of 210 presentations, with our delegation proudly having 25 posters selected. This remarkable achievement accounts for over 12% of the posters from more than 50 states, making us the most represented team at the American ACOI National Internal Medicine Conference. The prominent display of the DNC logo at the event highlighted the university’s strong presence and impact in the field of medical research. This accomplishment is a source of pride and a testament to the tireless dedication of the team members from DNC, VMGs, Midwest University medical students, and ATSU, all under the guidance of Associate Professor Dr. Phillip Tran. It is a powerful inspiration for future generations of students and faculty to pursue their passion for scientific research, contributing to the advancement of medical education and healthcare.

ACOI Research Abstract 1st place – 2024

Additionally, our team won first place in the Student Scientific Research category for students across the United States under the mentorship of Associate Professor Dr. Phillip Tran. This year, our delegation proudly secured two prestigious awards:

  • First place in the Clinical Research category for residents.
  • First place in the National Student Scientific Research category.
